The British Virgin islands laying east off Puerto Rico and connected to Puerto Rico by a large underwater shelf provide year round diving. This shelf drops of to the atlantic ocean to the north and the caribbean sea to the south, but all diving in the islands is done on the shelf, hence having no diving beneath 22m. The type of diving available includes, pinnacles, several wrecks, caverns, caves and overhangs.
