The Clown Triggerfish (Balistoides conspicillum) is one of the most beautiful fish in the indo pacific region and belongs to the family Balistidae (that is the Triggerfishes). In Australia it can be found along the entire Queensland coast into Northern NSW and can be found in Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu and most tropical waters. It is easily recognised by the large white spots along its belly, its black body and its yellow mouth. It can be found swimming along coral reefs along the edge of drop offs and grows to a maximum size of approximately 30cm.
