This species is known to feed on sponges, other echinoderms, algae and molluscs as well as being known to feed on dead fish. This species is generally found in shallow sheltered waters on rocky surfaces. The Granular Seastar (Uniophora granifera) has a maximum arm radius of approximately 12 cm.
