The ascidian Euclavella claviformis is known to occur in the temperate waters of south-eastern Australia. It can be found along the New South Wales coastline around the central coast region and has also been recorded in New Zealand. It can be recognised by its yellow-orange colouration and it is often found in colonies. It is generally found in amongst sponge gardens of coastal estuaries and attached to structures such as jetties. It is known to occur from depths of 5 to at least 60 metres.
