The Humpback Boxfish (Anoplocapros lenticularis) is endemic to the waters of southern Australia and has been recorded in Western Australia, South Australia and western Victoria. It is easily recognised by its unusual shape with a very high back and concave upper profile on the snout. The body is coloured orange with whitish bands and black scribbles. Males have a more rounded high back and are orange-brown with two white broad bands angling away from the top. It can be found on rocky reefs and is often commonly seen around jetty pylons and other inshore reef habitats. It is also commonly caught by fishing trawlers. The Humpback Boxfish (Anoplocapros lenticularis) grows to a maximum length of approximately 20cm.
