The Arabian Cowry (Cypraea arabica) is a tropical cowry species that is known to occur in warm waters of the Indo-Pacific region. It is known to occur in the Red Sea, Arabian Sea and northern waters of Australia. The common name for this species is derived from the pattern on its shell that resembles Arabian script. It can be found living under rocks and dead coral from the intertidal zone to depths of 10 metres. The Arabian Cowry (Cypraea arabica) grows to a maximum length of approximately 10cm.
