The Reliable Chromodoris (Chromodoris fidelis) is a tropical nudibranch species belonging to the largest of the nudibranch families Chromodorididae. Its distribution includes the warm tropical waters of the Indo-western Pacific region and it has been recorded from the Seychelles, New Caledonia, Hong Kong, Marshall Islands, Papua New Guinea, Malaysia, Japan, Vietnam and Australia. The pattern and colour of this species can vary significantly however the mantle is predominantly white with a broad orange band around the mantle edge. It is known to feed on the sponge Chelonaplysilla violacea. The Reliable Chromodoris (Chromodoris fidelis) grows to a maximum length of approximately 2.5cm.
