The Mimic Flatworm (Pseudobiceros sp) is an uncommon flatworm species that belongs to the polyclad family Pseudocerotidae. The outer edge of the body is coloured yellow and the inside has dark blue/black lines with blue and pale blue markings. This species mimics the colouration and pattern of nudibranchs in the Chromodorididae family including Chromodoris elisabethina, Chromodoris strigata and Chromodoris annae. This species is listed as Pseudobiceros sp 29 by Dr Leslie Newman, world polyclad expert and Curator of Marine Biology at the Auckland Museum.
