The Black Feather Star (Cenolia glebosus) belongs to the phylum ‘Echinodermata’ which includes seastars, sea cucumbers, urchins and feather stars. This featherstar species is known to occur in warm tropical waters of the Indo-Pacific region and can be very common in reefs where they are found in small groups. This species is easily identified by its complete black colouration and is known to occur from depths of 8 to 40 metres. The Black Feather Star (Cenolia glebosus) has arms up to 40cm in length.
