Black Spot Jorunna

The Black-spot Jorunna (Jorunna sp) is an undescribed nudibranch species that belongs to the Dorididae family. It is found in the temperate waters of the east coast of Australia and has been recorded from South West Rocks in New South Wales down to Westernport Bay in Victoria. This species is very similar in appearance to the Funeral Jorunna Jorunna funebris nudibranch however it can be easily recognised by its yellow colouration. This species generally has black rhinophores and gills and a series of dark black spots cover the body. The Black-spot Jorunna (Jorunna sp) grows to a maximum length of approximately 4cm.
