The Bludger Trevally (Carangoides gymnostethus() is a pelagic fish species that belongs to the Jacks and Trevallies family of fishes known as Carangidae. This species is known to occur throughout the warm tropical waters of the Indo-Pacific region. Juveniles are known to form schools where as large adults tend to be more solitary. They can be found over coral reefs and along deepwater coral drop offs. The body is coloured silver and there are generally a few brown or golden spots in the middle of the body. The Bludger Trevally (Carangoides gymnostethus) is known to grow to a maximum length of approximately 90cm.
