The White Lined Rockcod (Anyperodon leucogrammicus) is a tropical cod species that is a member of the fish family ‘Serranidae’ that includes the cods, groupers and seaperches. It is found in the waters of the Indo-Pacific region and its distribution is from the Red Sea and east Africa across the east to the Phoenix Islands, north to Japan and down south to Australia. This species is easily identified by its brown coloured body that is covered in small orange spots and the four white longitudinal stripes that extend along the body. It can be found living on coral reefs and in lagoons and it is known to feed on fishes and probably on crustaceans. The White Lined Rockcod (Anyperodon leucogrammicus) grows to a maximum length of approximately 52cm.
