The Sand Whiting (Sillago ciliata) is also commonly referred to as the ‘Blue-nose Whiting’ and is known to occur in the Western Pacific Ocean. It can be found along the east coast of Australia from central Queensland to southern new South Wales and is also known to occur at Lord Howe Island and New Caledonia.
