The Rudmans Phyllidiella (Phyllidiella rudmani) is a tropical nudibranch species that is known to occur in the warm waters of the western Pacific Ocean and the eastern Indian Ocean. It is a member of the ‘Phyllids’ family Phyllidiidae and has been found in Papua New Guinea, Maldives, Thailand, Fiji, Okinawa, Indonesia, the Solomon Islands and the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. This species can be identified by its pale pink mantle with two black stripes, and the black and pink banded rhinophores. Ventrally, the foot and oral tentacles are white. This species looks very similar in appearance to Phyllidiella pustulosa , Phyllidiella zeylanica, Phyllidiella nigra , Phyllidiella annulata, and Phyllidiella rosans however they all possess a black background coloration and are therefore easily separated from Phyllidiella rudmani. This species is known to occur on coral reefs from depths of 5 to at least 40 metres. The Rudmans Phyllidiella (Phyllidiella rudmani) grows to at least 5cm in length.
