The Gorgonian Goby (Bryaninops loki) is a small tropical fish species that is a member of the Gobiidae fish family. This species is known to occur in the warm tropical waters of Indo-Western Pacific region and is known to occur from Chagos Island to the Great Barrier Reef, New Caledonia and Samoa. The Gorgonian Goby varies in colour depending on the colouration of its host gorgonian fan or whip. It is usually red or brown in colour however can be translucent and it is generally recognised by a darkish spot at the base of its tail. It can be found living on coral reefs and is known to occur on several gorgonian species including Junceella, Ellisella and Subergogia from depths of 6 to 45 metres. The Gorgonian Goby (Bryaninops loki) grows to a maximum length of approximately 3cm.
