The Rolland’s Demoiselle (Chrysiptera rollandi) is a member of the ‘Damselfishes’ family Pomacentridae. This small tropical damselfish is known to occur in the eastern Indian Ocean and the Western Pacific. It has been recorded in the Andaman Sea, the Loyalty Islands, Philippines, New Caledonia, Tonga and the Great Barrier Reef off Australia. The dorsal part of the head is coloured blue whilst the rest of the body is silver-grey in colour. It can be found living in amongst coral branches which it uses for shelter and protection from depths of 2 to 35 metres. The Rolland’s Demoiselle (Chrysiptera rollandi) grows to a maximum length of approximately 6cm.
