The Lumpy Sea Cucumber (Stichopus sp) is considered to be very similar to Stichopus variegates however S.variegates may be a complex of species, as the individuals put into this species are quite variable in external appearance. Distribution: Tropical Indo-Western Pacific. Features: Green-Olive coloured body that is quite lumpy and has yellow wart like protrusions. Habitat: Coral reefs, seagrasses. Depth range: 0 to 10 metres. Maximum Length: Grows to at least 15cm in length. This photo of Stichopus sp was taken by Sascha Schulz. | ||||||
