The Fried Eggs Hoplodoris (Hoplodoris estreyado) has a very unique common name as a result of the ‘fried egg’ pattern on the upper surface of the mantle. This species is known to occur in the waters of the Indo-western Pacific region and it has been found in Sulawesi and Vietnam. This species can be difficult to find as it blends in very well with algae’s and sponges of coral reefs. The mantle is coloured white and is covered in many nodules and at the base of each nodule is a thin yellow ring hence giving it the common name of the Fried Eggs Hoplodoris. The Fried Eggs Hoplodoris (Hoplodoris estreyado) is known to grow to a maximum length of approximately 6cm.
