The Blackspot Scorpionfish (Liocranium praepositum) is a tropical fish species that belongs to the ‘Waspfishes’ family Tetrarogidae. This species is closely related to the ‘Scorpionfishes’. It is known to occur in the waters of the Indo-Pacific and has been recorded from northern Australia and Papua New Guinea. This species was recently photographed in Coron Bay in the Philippines on the Japanese WWII wreck, the ‘Olympia Maru’. There is very little scientific information known about this species. The Blackspot Scorpionfish (Liocranium praepositum) grows to a maximum length of approximately 13cm.
